Crepe de Chine has a Matt sheen and a smooth weave which gives it a wonderful drape.The threads of Silk Crepe are what are known as “hard twisted” which means that instead of being totally smooth they are softly “crinkly” which gives a very subtle texture to the crepe fabric and when made with silk, a beautiful sheen. Another characteristic is that it has a wonderful drape and is fantastic for clothing.Perfect for all kinds of projects, clothing in particular.
