Such an unusual find! - A lovely early "SPECIAL AND RARE - LATE 1930'S - EARLY 1940's" VINTAGE silk and rayon blend smooth Dupion in ivory. Rayon is a natural fiber made from tree pulp. It has a beautiful texture and drapes and pleats really well. I believe this was bought for a wedding dress that never got made. By todays standards this is a fairly narrow fabric but it is the equivalent of 1 yard/36 inches wide.
