A pretty Italian silk twill. Rows of tiny white 1.5mm diamonds alternate with rows of 4mm flower circles in shades of mint green, lilac, royal blue and gold, all on a solid navy blue background.
Twill can be a slightly "springy" fabric. It has a diagonal fine rib and is often used for ties, scarves, lining and waistcoats. In our small world it would be ideal for both clothing and soft furnishings.
This fabric is an unusual width of 101cm. I believe it's because it was made to make nothing wider than scarves.
